Well, as of right now, we are closing on our new place next Tuesday. I am excited but exhausted. I have a million things to get done and not enough time. Tomorrow we are having dinner at our friends' house. Thursday is my birthday, which I turn the dreadful , 30!!! So not looking forward to turning 30, it seems like it was just yesterday when I was 18 and free to do whatever I wanted, when ever I wanted. Gosh, you know something? I am getting OLD! Anyway, then Saturday, we have like 4 places we've been invited to go. Don't these people realize I am a busy, busy woman right now?
So, with my giving up time to spend with friends, I am gonna be behind on packing stuff up. I have packed up little stuff like 2 hall closets, the pictures in the living room, books from the bookcases, vases and nic-nacs, the movies and well, that's about it. Tonight my DH and I finished going through stuff we had piled in the garage. We reduced our KEEP pile to less than 1/2 of what was in there. A majority of it is yard sale/goodwill stuff and the rest went into a huge yellow bin from one of our friends work.
It feels really good to have let so much stuff go. In order to keep memories, I tend to hold onto stuff to remind me of those times, people or places. I have a problem keeping junk but not as bad as my mom. I am grateful that the Lord has helped me to get rid of things that I no longer need. It's cleansing to my soul. Plus, I don't have to take all that crap to the new place...YAY!!! lol
My last post has prompted me to try hard to talk softer and nicer to my KeKe in hopes that she will listen. She listens to an extent b/c she says she will clean her room and then lie to me and tell me cleaned it or that she is too tired and needs help but then starts pulling more toys out of the toy box. My, oh my, what I am going to do my baby girl who is obviously thinking she is the QUEEN? She has been punished at least 10 times tonight and it does not bother her at all. She just tells me that she isn't going to do what I ask, says "whatever" and "no" to anything and everything. Is it normal for an almost 4 yr old to act like this. Is it me, is it the older children she is around during the day, I just don't know!
Well, just in case I am MIA for a few days or more, packing for the move is what I will be up to. Hope everyone has a safe and great July 4th in case I don't have time to tell ya'll later.
