Small Price for Big Prize

It's funny how one minute you are trying you're hardest to save every dime you have and the next you are spending money you were going to save. After work today, I went to lunch with my hubby. After lunch, he makes a pit stop to a strip mall, and guess what? He has the idea of signing our little girl up for ballet. BALLET!!!

I am so excited to have her starting dance class b/c I was once in dance and LOVED IT! We had made small talk about it before and our daughter seemed very interested. She even bagan to notice the outfits at Target and Wal-Mart and was begging to get some of it. Anyway, after signing her up, we picked her up from the sitter and headed to Target for some dance wear. With no luck of finding matching pieces, we ended up at Wal-Mart. Luckily, we found everything except shoes...well, the perfect shoes. We were advised that the slippers-type without the strap didn't work well with her age group...due to the constant movements in class, so we went to Payless and found real ballet shoes. They are so tiny (compared to my big feet..lol). Now she is all set for class that starts on Wednesday, yep, this Wednesday. It'll be here before I know it.

So, back to my plan on saving money...we spent more than I planned. We could have paid our light bill with that money. But that's ok...it's a small price that I am willing to pay to see my little girl's face light up on her first day of dance. She is the Big Prize and anything for her is a Small Price.

I still feel like somehow I need to make that money back up to help pay bills since things are pretty tight these days. I mean, my husband owns his own company...which is really slow with work these days and I was advised last week that my pay may be changed soon. I only work 5 hours each day and yes, I make double per hour than the other girl in the office but I have lots more experience than her and I have worked for these people for 10 years. I have found out during these past 10 years that I can be replaced...but not cheaper... and after they called me back, they want to cut my pay! It's hurts but whatever. My hubby wants to go to school in March for Insurance School and has already been told that after the 1 week required to do Insurance School, that he has a job waiting for him, Sounds great I know, but what in the world is he going to do about his business he owns...for goodness sake, he has employees. Guess we will figure it out and hopefully he can do both and have some income coming in while he waits for the company to get some jobs on schedule. This should be another blog story but I am venting right now, because deep down, I am a worry-wart! I worry about everything, especially when I have no control over it.

Anyway, I guess I should vent more another day. Hopefully, I will have found a way to get the spent money back but if not, it's ok...I get paid again soon! :-)
