TGIF

TGIF...Thank God It's Friday!

I have had a busy, busy week. I've been so busy I haven't even had time to come on here to post or even read any other blogs. I have missed it. So, for the moment I am back.

Well, my week has consisted of taking extra good care of Galaxy. Since she had the stitches under her left eye, we had to put some ointment on it 2x's a day. It's been hard getting used to having a cat. I mean, she sleeps all day and she is up all night so it should not be bad, but she meow's or cries at the bed. She doesn't jump which the vet says could be b/c she wasn't allowed on furniture with her previous owners or she may have arthritis. The vet said it's harder to know about arthritis in cats b/c the symptoms and signs aren't there like it is with dogs. She is 9 yrs old so I take that in consideration. She did manage to get on our bed 2 nights ago...on her own. I was THRILLED! I love cats and having one to cuddle with at night is so...soft and relaxing...especially with the purr's. So, anyway today the stitches were removed. She is still a bit overweight so the vet recommended keeping her on a diet...she has a big swagging belly right now from the weight she has already lost. I love Galaxy and so does KeKe.

Well, besides adjusting to taking care of Galaxy, I have been working on KeKe. She has these terrible whining moments that drive me insane. Literally. She won't talk, she just pulls on her clothes, screams, points to what she wants but when you give it to her she doesn't want it. I have told her she needs to talk to me to tell me how to help her. Like tonight, she woke up after falling asleep on the couch and had one of these fits. She refused to talk and all that was wrong was she was hot. So, noticing she was hot, I turned the fan on....oh that opened another can of worms. Finally she calmed down and we changed her into her pajamas and she is now watching Monster's Inc. (how many times will that dvd play?)

So, how was your week?

LOL... we have a lot in common (: My cat is over weight (20 pounds) and my daughter has fits too (: Isn't it so nice to know that we aren't alone and there ARE people that can relate to us?
