My plans for next week...

My plans for next week will be to get my family more settled and organized, unpack more boxes, make some new recipes for dinner and keep on loving my husband and daughter.

Since our move a month ago, we have been crazy busy! I have just about got KeKe's room finished for now. We still need to paint, hang her ceiling fan and put up curtains. Yes, we have been that busy! And we are strapped financially so paint and a nice curtain rod will have to wait. We already have the ceiling fan and my DH will have that on his honey-do list for this week.

Our bedroom is painted but we still have some touch-up at the top of the walls. We have curtains but no curtain rod...we need a really long one and they are like $30+ so that will be on the to-be-bought later list.

The kitchen is functioning pretty well. I have all my things put up but again...I want to paint and yes, you guessed it...it will have to wait. I have these beautiful hydrangea dishes by Martha Stewart that I love but they look really feminine and my DH is not crazy about it...so I would also love to get new dishes. I want something country, so my colors to-be are creamy yellow and and red. I would love to get solid colored dishes and put a few nice looking rooster pics & plates up on the wall and one of those nice & expensive rooster lamps. It's the dream for now. I know everyone just about has roosters but I just couldn't think of anything else.

Our family room is where the tv is and is our only functioning living room right now. It has a couch, chair w/ ottoman, 2 side tables, a small bookcase and the tv....pretty plain...but it was what I already had at our much smaller house we were renting. Yes, we need furniture badly but it, too, has to wait. We have other priorities right now.

Our guest room...still EMPTY! Completely EMPTY! Guess it's a good thing I haven't moved boxes in there or we may never get a guest room. lol. Well, my sister Lydia is giving us a full-size bed that we may put in there or trade it with KeKe's bed but then only 1 guest would be able to stay b/c she currently uses a twin....I'm still thinking on this one. But I can't pass up a free bed from my sis. I just have to go get it out of storage soon...and the weather here has been the upper 90's so it can wait....lol.

So, anyway, back to my plans...my hubby needs a desk in the family room b/c he has taken over our dining table...not good when it comes to dinner time and we eat everywhere but the table. So, I am trying to think of a cheap solution which may be to use my craft table a just stick a chair under it b/c I haven't even had time to open up my craft table...I have been super busy.

I also found some awesome sounding recipes last week that I want to try this week and they look pretty inexpensive, so if they come out tasty and cheap..I may start posting them. We need variety and this seems to be my cheap fix.

I am sorry to my blogger friends for not being on here so much lately, but I have had a lot on me with the move and some other issues. I hope to be able to start getting back into blogging soon. My family comes first and it's worth the time and energy to fix my family before anything else. Hope ya'll understand.
