Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: Cooler and very sunny. Our temps are finally back to the low 70s instead of the high 80s...NC weather is crazy!!!

One of my simple pleasures: a Mr. Goodbar!

On my bedside table: alarm clock, lamp and some papers, oh and tweezers.

On my t.v.: HGTV

What our menu will be tonight: leftovers

On my to-do list: LAUNDRY! I really am dreading this, which is why it didn't get done over the weekend. YUK!

New Recipe I tried last week: Pot roast in the crock-pot using cream of mushroom soup and an onion soup mix/packet. It was very good & creamy.

In the craft basket: FunFusion...KeKe is obsessed with doing this but I think she is still too young b/c she doesn't have the patience to finish one.

Looking forward to: my husband getting another job.

Homemaking tip for the week: purging toys when your child isn't home = no melt-downs! :-)

Lesson(s) learned the past few weeks: being a wife is REALLY hard work and I think it may be easier to be a mother than a wife.

On my prayer list: my MIL who is still fighting an aggressive brain tumor, my DH for his job search and my grandma B. who is struggling financially and isn't able to pay for all her meds.

Devotionals, Scriptures, and Key Verses: "However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband" Ephesians 5:33

Happy Homemaker Monday

The originator Sandra, over at http://familycorner.blogspot.com/ does this every Monday. I enjoy reading it and hope you will too. Please go visit her site if you are not already following her.

The weather in my neck of the woods: Still hot and humid. The forecast is 86 degrees. Some more rain is expected!

One of my simple pleasures: KeKe falling asleep on my chest while sitting next to me in the chair.

On my bedside table: Alarm clock, lamp and a tray for catch-all stuff, Robbie's cup of water and papers.

On my t.v.: Nothing...it's really early.

What our menu will be tonight: Not sure yet, probably something with ground beef.

On my to-do list: Get the house ready for KeKe's birthday party.

New Recipe I tried last week: None, but we had a bucket of fried chicken from KFC which we never eat, so it's close to being new...lol

In the craft basket: Still everything...I have to organize it b/c I haven't had time for it since the move. And planning for KeKe's party.

Looking forward to: cooking dinner tomorrow for our friends.

Homemaking tip for the week: Put all your baby/toddler socks in a washable mesh bag w/ a zipper to stop socks from getting lost.

Lessons learned the past few weeks: Sometimes you can control things, other times just pray!

On my prayer list: My M-I-L who is fighting a cancerous brain tumor and both of my Grandma's for their health could be better.

Devotionals, Scriptures, Key Verses: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: Very hot and humid. The forecast was 98 degrees. Talk about a heat wave!

One of my simple pleasures: My precious KeKe sleeping next to me all night and waking up with a smile...yes, she slept with me last night and never once kicked me. lol

On my bedside table: Alarm clock, lamp and a tray for catch-all stuff.

On my t.v.: It was House Hunters until KeKe decided she wanted to find something...she has been flipping channels for 10 minutes...ha! She is even laughing at different stuff along the way.

What our menu was tonight: Pizza and homemade cheesesticks with sauce. Thank you my DH, Robbie.

On my to-do list: Figure out a new budget since Robbie doesn't have any income coming in.

New Recipe I tried last week: Didn't try any but I have plans to do one tomorrow.

In the craft basket: Everything...I have to organize it b/c I haven't had time for it since the move. Plus, it's 2 months before KeKe's birthday and so I need to plan that.

Looking forward to: KeKe going to work with me on Thurs. and Fri. while the sitter is having surgery.

Homemaking tip for the week: Put laundry away as soon as it finishes in the dryer. No piles for the little one to play in after it's folded.

Lessons learned the past few weeks: Don't count your chickens before they hatch! Sometimes prayers are not answered quickly and money can run out.

On my prayer list: My M-I-L who is fighting a cancerous brain tumor and both of my Granma's for their health could be better.

Devotionals, Scriptures, Key Verses: Proverbs 14:1 "Every wise woman buildeth her house; but the foolish plucketh it down with her own hands."
